As FanDuel Sportsbook continues to lead the way in NJ sportsbooks (operating under the Meadowlands) and Golden Nugget at the top of the heap in New Jersey Online Casinos, the gross revenue numbers for NJ online casinos and NJ sportsbooks could not hold the outstanding numbers that came about in March 2019. As reported by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, a total gross revenue combining online casino revenue, online sports betting in New Jersey and NJ online poker dropped $10.27 million, falling from $63.35 million in March to $53.08 million in April. The breakdown of all three are as follows for the month of April 2019:
- Online Casino Gaming – $34.91 million in gross revenue
- Online Sports Betting – $16.50 million in gross revenue
- Online Poker – $1.67 million in gross revenue
Golden Nugget Maintains Its Top Spot In Strong April For NJ Online Casinos
While there was a strong dip in the total revenue for sports betting in New Jersey, it was to be expected after March posted such great numbers with March Madness betting for NCAA Basketball powered the revenue figures for that month. While NJ sports betting revenue numbers fell, revenue numbers for NJ online casinos maintained their profitability. Golden Nugget Online Casino was once again the top moneymaker out of all online casinos in New Jersey, with Resorts Online Casino in second place and Borgata Online Casino and Caesars Online Casino rounding out the top four.
Golden Nugget Online Casinos includes total revenue from SugarHouse Online Casino and Betfair Online Casino, along with the shared wallet between FanDuel’s players and Betfair NJ Online Casino. Resorts Online Casino also has DraftKings, Mohegan Sun Online Casino, and PokerStars under their umbrella, adding to their bottom line.
